Product Descriptions
This blue sapphire engagement ring centers a vivid lab-grown blue sapphire — a bold oval in a sparkling halo — with your choice of moissanite or natural diamond accents, all in cool solid white gold. Deep, royal blue against a ring of light makes a striking, romantic ring. Made to order and ready to engrave.
The blue sapphire
Sapphire’s classic royal blue is one of the most beloved colors in fine jewelry. This center is a lab-grown blue sapphire — the same mineral (corundum) as mined sapphire, with the same hardness and rich color, at a far more accessible price. At Mohs 9, sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness, making it a superb everyday stone. Blue sapphire is celebrated as the stone of wisdom and fidelity, symbolizing truth, loyalty, and enduring love. Explore more engagement rings for women and solid gold rings in the collection.
The halo design
A graceful halo of accent stones surrounds the oval sapphire, adding sparkle and making the center look even larger. It’s a non-traditional yet timeless look, perfect for romantic souls and lovers of fairycore or elvish-inspired jewelry. Crafted to order in solid gold.
Choose your accent stones
Select your halo and side-stone option from the drop-down menu:
- Moissanite — a lab-created gem prized for its brilliance and fire, D color (clear white), ~0.3ct total, and very hard-wearing at Mohs 9–9.25.
- Natural diamond — genuine earth-mined diamonds, G/H color, I1 (eye-clean) clarity, ~0.3ct total, Mohs 10.
Choose your metal & karat
This ring is solid metal throughout — the metal itself, not plating or vermeil over a base metal. Cool white gold makes the royal-blue sapphire pop against the halo. Pick the karat that fits your budget and durability preference, or step up to platinum. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat comparison guide breaks down the differences. If you’d like to learn more about the stone itself, our guide to choosing a sapphire engagement ring is a lovely place to start.
Prefer a warmer look? This design is also available in yellow or rose gold on request. Whichever metal you choose, the color is permanent — it won’t wear off and won’t turn your skin green.

Sizing & care
Sapphire is an exceptionally hard, durable gem (Mohs 9), well suited to everyday wear. Still, avoid harsh chemicals and take the ring off for rough activities to protect the setting. Clean gently with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Please confirm your ring size before ordering; half and quarter sizes are available, and you can reference our sizing guide first. An optional written appraisal can be added from the drop-down menu (non-refundable once completed).
Blue sapphire engagement ring FAQs
Is the sapphire natural or lab-grown?
It’s lab-grown. Lab-grown sapphire has the same composition, hardness, and rich blue color as mined sapphire, with excellent clarity and a far more accessible price.
What accent stones can I choose?
You can choose moissanite (a brilliant, hard-wearing lab-created gem, D color) or natural diamond (G/H color, I1 clarity) for the halo and side stones. Select your option from the drop-down menu.
What is a halo setting?
A halo is a ring of small accent stones encircling the center gem. It adds extra sparkle and makes the center sapphire appear larger.
What does blue sapphire symbolize?
Blue sapphire is celebrated as the stone of wisdom and fidelity, symbolizing truth, loyalty, and enduring love — a meaningful choice for an engagement.
How durable is it for daily wear?
Extremely durable. At Mohs 9, sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness, making it an excellent everyday stone. Avoid harsh chemicals and hard knocks to protect the setting.
How should I clean it?
Gently. Wipe with a soft, damp cloth and mild soap. Avoid harsh chemicals, and take the ring off before strenuous activities to protect the setting.
Which metal should I choose?
10K white gold is the hardest and most affordable; 14K is our most popular for its balance of durability and value; 18K has more gold for a richer feel; platinum is naturally white, densest, and hypoallergenic. All are genuine solid metal.
Is this real solid white gold?
Yes. The ring is solid white gold (or platinum) throughout — the metal itself, not plating or vermeil. The color is permanent, won’t wear off, and won’t turn skin green.
Can I get a matching wedding band?
Yes — a matching band can be custom made to order. Contact us and we’ll help you pair it with this ring.
Do you offer other stones or shapes?
Yes. Different gemstone options and cuts are available on request — reach out for a custom quote.
How do I find my ring size?
See our sizing guide. Sizing can vary slightly by jeweler, often up to a half size, so we recommend confirming before ordering. Half and quarter sizes are available.
How long does it take to make?
This ring is made to order; please allow 3–5 weeks for it to be handcrafted. Requested modifications may adjust the timeline and pricing.
