Product Descriptions
This moss agate and emerald engagement ring in solid 14K white gold centers a pear-cut natural moss agate, accented by vivid lab-grown emeralds in a nature-inspired asymmetric cluster. Earthy green landscapes in the moss agate meet bright emerald sparkle — a whimsical, one-of-a-kind alternative bridal ring.
The moss agate center
At the heart of the ring sits a natural pear-cut moss agate, about 5×7 mm and 1.2 carats. Moss agate is a translucent form of chalcedony (a variety of quartz) filled with green, moss-like dendritic inclusions that look like a tiny landscape captured in stone — and because it’s natural, no two are alike. It sits at Mohs 6.5–7, so it rewards gentle care.
Lab-grown emerald accents
Clustered around the center are vivid lab-grown emeralds — the same beryl mineral and rich green color as mined emerald, grown ethically for consistent color. Emerald is Mohs 7.5–8; like all emeralds it can be a little brittle, so it appreciates gentle handling. Together the two greens make a lush, garden-inspired palette.
Choose your metal & karat
The ring is made in solid white gold or platinum — never plated or filled — so the color runs all the way through and won’t wear off. Choose the option that suits you:
White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright white shine, while platinum is naturally white, denser and the ultimate heirloom metal. Our 10K vs 14K vs 18K karat guide explains the gold options. Prefer yellow or rose gold? This design can be made in either on request — contact us for a custom quote. If you’d like to learn more about the stone itself, our guide to what moss agate symbolizes is a lovely place to start.

Frequently asked questions
What is moss agate?
Moss agate is a natural, translucent form of chalcedony (a variety of quartz) with green, moss-like dendritic inclusions. Each stone’s pattern is formed by nature and completely unique.
Are the emeralds natural or lab-grown?
The emerald accents are lab-grown — the same beryl mineral and green color as mined emerald, grown ethically for consistent color, at Mohs 7.5–8.
Is moss agate a diamond?
No. Moss agate is a form of quartz (chalcedony), not a diamond — its beauty is in its green, garden-like inclusions rather than diamond sparkle.
How durable is the ring?
Both stones are on the softer side — moss agate is Mohs 6.5–7 and emerald can be brittle — so the ring benefits from gentle care and protection from knocks.
How should I care for it?
Clean gently with warm soapy water and a soft brush. Avoid ultrasonic and steam cleaners, harsh chemicals and hard knocks, and store the ring separately.
What metals can I choose?
Solid 10K, 14K or 18K white gold, or platinum, from the drop-down. Yellow or rose gold are available on request — contact us for a custom quote.
Is the metal solid or plated?
Always solid. The metal runs through the entire piece, so it will never wear off or expose a base metal underneath.
What’s the difference between white gold and platinum?
White gold is gold alloyed for strength and rhodium-plated for a bright white shine. Platinum is naturally white, denser and more durable, and never needs re-plating — a premium, heirloom choice.
What’s the difference between 10K, 14K and 18K?
Higher karats hold more pure gold but are a little softer; lower karats are harder and more affordable. See our karat comparison guide for details.
How do I find my ring size?
Use our ring size guide. The ring is made to order in sizes 3 to 11, including half and quarter sizes.
Is engraving included?
Yes — complimentary engraving of up to 16 characters is included. Add your text at checkout.
How long until it ships?
Each ring is handmade to order and typically ships within 3–5 weeks.
